Here is the great news:
Cooper's surgeon was able to accomplish a successful cone procedure and a few of the other adjustments he wanted to make to improve his heart function. He also did not have to perform the Glenn and he was able to close his chest instead of leaving it open.
Here is the not so great:
He is running a high fever, has clouded urine, and complete heart block. That means that the conductive area between his upper chambers to his lower is non-functioning. This could be from swelling or it will never come back and pacemaker would be only choice. They are going to give him at least 5 days to get his rhythms back to normal. His surgeon came by this morning and said that his is less than thrilled with the rhythm issue and is frustrated. He said he can't remember the last time he had to give an Ebstein's kid a pacemaker.
Here's how you can help:
Pray, pray, pray! Think happy thoughts, send positive vibes, anything you can do to increase the faith and miracle that his heart will get into a normal rhythm and we can avoid another surgery is greatly appreciated!

this last picture makes me teary eyed. Only another Heart Mom can truely "see" what you see. We are moms just doing the best we can for our kids.
